This page gathers stones from our collection graded VVS — very, very slightly included. In practice this means any inclusions present are difficult to locate even under ten-times magnification, and the stone reads as entirely clean to the unaided eye. Clarity at this level allows light to travel through the gem with minimal interruption, which supports brightness, saturation and the clean return of colour from the pavilion.
The varieties appearing here are Aquamarine, Blue Zircon, Tanzanite, Mozambique Ruby and Green Tourmaline. Each behaves differently at this clarity level. Beryls such as aquamarine and tourmalines are often found with good transparency, so a VVS grade sits comfortably within their character. Zircon's high refractive index and dispersion are shown to particular advantage when the interior is clear, while corundum — including ruby — is more commonly encountered with visible inclusions, making a VVS example notably uncommon.
When choosing between them, weigh clarity against the qualities that matter most in each species: depth and evenness of colour, the precision of the cut, and how the stone performs under the lighting in which it will be worn. A high clarity grade supports beauty; it does not replace colour or cutting.
