What is Black Star Sapphire?

The Black Star Sapphire is a captivating gem, renowned for its mysterious allure and the enchanting phenomenon of asterism—an optical star-like effect that dances across its surface. Originating from the rich lands of Thailand, these gems are typically presented in a cabochon cut to best display their signature star. The deep, velvety black hue of these sapphires exudes an understated elegance, making them a unique choice for those who appreciate the rare and the extraordinary.

Unlike many other sapphires, the Black Star Sapphire in our collection is unheated, preserving its natural beauty and ensuring each stone remains as nature intended. With prices starting from around $15 per carat, these gems offer both allure and accessibility. Many of our stones are accompanied by a laboratory certificate from reputable institutions such as GIT, with certification available on request for any stone, ensuring authenticity and peace of mind.
